A Tribute To Rommel...

Emo Post...

Was surfing around lately when I come across particular facebook group...

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=7413864955

Which kind of surprises me.

For those without an account, this is what it reads...

"In memory of one of 2PDF's greatest pride, Rommel, who had left us for the eternity on 12 March 2008.

He will always be remembered for his warmth and friendliness to colleagues; his cheerful and radiant disposition; and also his dedication and devotion to work.

Let us not grieve his death, but celebrate his life. Remember how he used to bring a smile to our faces and touched our hearts.

Rommel, rest well, and you will be missed."

I think anyone who knows him would agree that he is undeniable 1 of best (if not the best) dog we ever had.

Obedience: Perfect.
Friendliness: Perfect.
Performance: Near Perfect
Cuteness: 10 out of 10.

He's the kind that can instantly attracts you, the kind that just makes you want to cuddle/play with every time you see him. And he's definitely a dog that you'll have a special bond for even when you aren't his owner.

What's surprising is there are so many "old birds" from the group, MANY which I haven't even seen before (meaning they left BEFORE I even came).

Yet, they all still got the news about his death and set up this group in memory of Rommel. Shows how much he was love by everyone over the years...

:(

Anyway, I've consolidate some "real accounts" of what happened after his demise, how people felt, etc...

...

Wei Qi - Emo Post

Benjamin - One of the last person that saw Rommel...

Andrew - Left more than a year before me...

Mao Mao - (Same batch as Andrew) He really dares to say...

...

...

Haiz...

...

To this day, I still couldn't believe the stupid... urgh.... I still couldn't believe the "events" leading up to his death.

...

There will never be another as great as you again~

就是开不了口 让你知道
你真的教得很烂你 知不知道
你教我的多重要, 我后悔又, 让你骗了
安静的听你乱教, 听到睡着, 你可知道

NTU Y1S1, Week 12 In Review

E Learning Week

Lobo Week...

...

Once again, I am deeply astonished by Dr Shi...

Sometimes, I really question myself.

What is it that he can see that we couldn't?

How is he able to look at things from a perspective that is so "basic common sense" to solve something so complicated?

How?!

这是他带给我的第三次震撼

The first was when I saw his lecture on Mathematical Induction. He uses something that even primary school kids know to get out of a seemingly "unproceed-able" question.

Using "K + 1" is always more than "K".

!!!

How can he see this kind of things?

...

...

This time round, he said "To prove 2 equation are equal to each other, just prove that one equation minus the other is equals to zero."

!!!

... And he used such a SIMPLE concept to solve the question.

A question I spent more than 2 hours racking my brains over with and couldn't get anywhere. A question which I think more than 90% of the class couldn't solve.

And he "breaks" it down just like that.

Using something that is so basic.

...

This is entirely different from someone being able to solve some trigonometric equations by identify parts where you can apply those "identities".

To me, being able to see that "K + 1 is always more than K" is much more impressive than being to able to spot something like "Sin square + Cos Square = 1".

It might not seem like a big deal reading about it; but when you are stumped at a question for hours and he solves it "just like that", the "trauma" is really unbearable...

...

我只能说,我真的佩服得五体投地

And I think I agree with Glenn. Haha.

Discrete Maths is probably my favourite module for the semester. It's very frustrating when you're stuck, but the satisfaction you get from solving a difficult question can be really great. It's like really "seeing the light" all of a sudden.

To quote: "It teaches you how to approach a problem from different angles and to think out of the box to find the solution. Its quite amazing to see the lecturer approach a difficult problem and come up with a stunner solution."

I think our lecturer actually made this module fun. (even though it's still really difficult)

...

Once again~

Rediscovering Facebook after 1 Year...

Yesterday or so, I was browsing my email when I saw one about someone tagging me on Facebook wall...

...

Facebook?

... Wow, almost forgot I actually had an account there.

...

One which I created up about 1 year ago...

...

And have never login since.

Haha.

I did wrote a post about why I hated Facebook so much back then.

Well, little did I expect that somehow, 1 year later, Firefox STILL remembers my facebook password... Don't ask me how it does. Perhaps this is why Firefox is so amazing.

So yesterday I went back and mess around with the site.

And well. This time round, I'll take back what I said 1 year ago... .... a little. Those social profiling site aren't all evil.

I think the best thing about it is that it allows you to find even friends from "long long ago", if you want. You can easily find your primary school, even kindergarten friends (if you remember them) if they have catch on the fad. You can even find friends you've lost contact for 10 years provided they are signed up as well.

...

Secondly, it groups your friend together into neat and tidy list. This is different from just "MSN". MSN is just crap. You open and you see a bunch of text. Unless you patiently nicknamed every single one (which makes you unable to see their profile message), you're unlikely to recognize more than those you frequently chat with.

In those profile websites, you can not only see their faces, but get an idea of what they've been up to lately! I guess it's a great way to pass time when you're free, browsing through all your friends profiles.

Best of all, I manage to locate some super rare photos after browsing around for just 30 minutes yesterday. Wahahaha...

All that aside, I am still finding a way to eliminate the bad points of facebook (clutter and spam), while still continuing to enjoy its benefits. I'm still familiarizing with those customization and stuffs...

I will not accept any invitations of crap like "poke me" or "counterstrike" applications. I am going to remove all the side panels and whatever panels that is cluttering the whole page. I think "The Wall" will just suffice.

Can someone teach me how to stop Facebook from sending you notification like "Friend A has poke Friend B", "Friend C has become a vampire", "Friend D wants you to put you up for sale" etc, etc... kind of messages?

I still find it really POINTLESS.

The "Zahada"!

This is a game I came across lately, and it is absolutely "Mind Blowing".

Most challenging online puzzle game? Maybe...

...

Give it a try. The image below will send you to Level 1 of the game.

I'm currently stucked at Level 10. Haha...

...

It's best if you can try it out yourself first. If you can't make any progress, I'll give some hints for the levels I've cleared...

List Of Hints

Level 1 - High possibility of getting stuck at the 1st level.... Re-read the rules again... carefully. The answer is within the rules!

Level 2 - Easy. A part of your face.

Level 3 - This is really "disgusting"... look EVERYWHERE, literally. Don't be distracted by the stuffs that is presented to you. Look EVERYWHERE. Haha...

Level 4 - The 3rd line of the riddle gives it away. "Sounds like" means "Rhymes with".

Level 5 - Keyword is the last sentence... you can ignore the rest.

Level 6 - This is damn pro... Really try this out yourself first... There is an extra hidden clue somewhere on the page. The answer is derived from the word in the middle.

Level 7 - Save the image down onto your computer, zoom in 200% and look very closely...

Level 8 - Keyword is stationary.

Level 9 - The last one is different from the rest... How do you look at it in a different way?

Level 10 - You have to make use of knowledge from all the previous levels. There are LOTS of hints in this level, and you need every single one of them. Where are the possible places you can find more hints? (Remember what you did in the previous levels!)

(Updated 29th October)

Level 11 - Same, make use of what you've learnt about this game. Where to search for clues.

Level 12 - Once again, use the same trick as before.

Level 13 - By now, you should have learn the "tricks" of this game... common places where they like to hide the things they're "really asking"...

Level 14 - Use the hint on the page... you need it to unscramble the words.

Level 15 - This is the lyrics of some songs... Google and you should find the artist.

Level 16 - Some chemistry stuff... That number stands for its "position"...

Level 17 - Is the capital of a country which produce that product...

Level 18 - Very obvious... same old trick they like to use. Giving clue at the usual place.

Level 19 - Currently stucked here too... next time man.

Money No Enough 2!

I finally got the chance recently to catch this remake of the classic 10 years ago. And wow, this film almost made me drown in my own tears...

The Critics
As far as I remembered, the critics for this film was REALLY bad. Some even went as far as to give it 1 out of 5 stars. I don't really remember the exact reviews, but I believe most of the criticism were about its crude/bad jokes.

Now. Honestly. For those who think this is a bad movie because of its bad jokes, then you have miss out what is truly great about this film. This film is more about the tears than the laughter, unlike the original Money No Enough.

Look past the crude jokes, look past the bad effects. They are just the superficial and secondary.

The only other reason I can think of for the bad reviews: because the reviewers doesn't understand Hokkien. Maybe. Nowadays those "editors" of magazines are mostly "ang-moh" addicted to those "Hollywood $100 million budget movies with tons of CGI", so I can probably understand why they give this movie 1 star.

The Laughter

Actually, as much as I can recall, I didn't really laugh a lot throughout the whole movie. Some portions, yes, but not from the start till end like most of Jack Neo's films.

The ERP part was damn impressive of course. I love Mark Lee's "Other country government is take money from their citizens, our government is use 'suck' one". Then the whole animation about millions of cash flowing into our national treasury. Just love that part.

The only other scenes which really made me laugh was Ah Nam promoting the "Flower Powder" and the portion where the mother kept asking his son whether he has eaten. Haha.

The Tears
When you are down and out, everyone will leave you: Your friends, even your best and closest friends will leave you. Even your own brothers, your own siblings may leave you.

But there is one person that will always stand by you no matter what.

... Some couple of simple scenes that touched me...

1) The old ladies consoles the mother. However, she explained that she is feeling down not because all her life savings were taken by her 3 sons, but because she doesn't have enough money to help them.

2) When Henry was in a bad state, he asked his mum if she'll look down on him since he is not rich anymore. The mother told him whether he's rich or not, he's still her son.

And of course, the big scene at the Old Folks home. The whole build up, from start to end is done beautifully. The portion when the mother saw the sad faces of the other old folks, turned around and saw her son running away from her... whew...

I cried so much at this scene.

...

This was later followed by a scene which leave a lot to think about. The 3 sons prayed for their mother to go...

From a moral point of view, this is wrong and totally unfilial. But are the 3 of them really unfilial sons?

It is easy to be filial during the good times.

But when you can't even feed yourself and your family, what is the cost of true filial piety?

...

At the end of the story, there was this dramatic scene where Jack Neo had to choose between his daughter and his mother. It is interesting to note the response of the various characters here, especially the wife.

Her love for her daughter is just like the mother love for their sons. She'll do anything to save her daughter, so there is nothing "wrong" with the part about her saying that the mother is old and useless, and they should save her daughter.

Again, I cried so hard here.

And that's the end of what I have to say about this movie.

There are some bad portions, especially the effects. Some are really badly done, like the car accident (extremely fake looking, would have been better if they just use real props). They also end it kinda abruptly after the final scene, and I think there were some minor stuffs they didn't wrapped up.

Other then that: If you understand Hokkien, and you can look past this movie being a comedy, I don't see how you can give this 1 out of 5.

Rating: 4 / 5

Geraint Birthday Gathering...

17th October 2008

Just nice... E-Learning for 101 today, so I was able to leave earlier and join the gang at Karl's new Condo.

Meet up with Jia Yun and Kenny before taking a bus to there. It was sort of like an "eye opener"... first time I see a lift which is designed in such a way that it stops directly in front of your house... Maybe this design is actually very common and I am too "Sua Gu"... need to visit more condo apartments...

Went swimming with the gang (Geraint, Karl, Kenny, Jia Yun & Leon)~ and we did some super lame and childish things... things that I think no "ordinary" 20 year olds would do.

E.G: Running in circles continuously in the jacuzzi to produce a "whirlpool" effect, taking photos in some "strange" positions... -_-

Wei Long didn't join in cause he wasn't feeling well. Benjamin didn't join in too as Yun Zhen wasn't there.

...

Lots of fun playing with the dog Scooter. He's so friendly and cute, and he'll response to everyone, even total strangers. Only thing is he likes to hump people. Hahaha... Left the place at around 7 for the dinner at Mayim, a Chinese Restaurant (Karl called it the "Budget Crystal Jade")

Participants (14): Geraint, Karl, Kenny, Wei Long, Jia Yun, Benjamin, Leon, Edmund, Edwin, Jansen, Samuel, Nigel, Danesh and myself.

The Food

Basically, all of us ordered our own dish and share a couple of others. I think the best of all is the Golden Shrimps dish... It's really golden, and the price is really golden too. Worth its price.

The "healthy venison" wasn't that good... I guess "healthy" food just doesn't taste as good as "unhealthy ones"... "Xiao Long Bao" was alright, but I think eat too much will get sick of it... The waitress was quite stun at the number of "crates" we ordered.

Some funny stuff... when we were ordering the drinks, Samuel said, "I want an Ice English Tea with Milk".

At that moment, I was wondering, "what the hell is that?"

...

Turns out to be "Teh Bing"... -_-, but that's really what is written on the menu.

So, next time you wanna act "high class" or "angmoh" at the coffee shop, tell the uncle you want an "Ice English Tea with Milk". Hahaha...

Most of their topics revolved around the Kindergarten, so I'm kind of like just "listening and enjoying their conversation": The new life there, the new people there. And what has(or hasn't) changed.

Actually, it's only been a little over 2 months since I left, but it seems like ages. Our time is over... it's time for the new generation to take up their weapons and fight for themselves. Wahahaha...

...

Nigel is having way too much fun with the dry ice... and Jansen. The effects they create looks a lot like The Undertaker's entrance. I think they're trying to destroy all their utensils. Karl made another lame comment, saying we should do that at "where they stand" so that other people can't see them... -_-

Dinner ended at around 10pm...

I really wanted to go home, but Karl kept pressuring me to go Geraint house with all sort of reasons. In the end, he actually made me feel guilty if I don't go. -_-

At Geraint House...

Mainly playing Rock Band 2 throughout with them, which was quite fun. It's your typical "hit the keys to match the notes" music game, except that you're really playing the instrument instead of using a controller.

Nigel managed to cleared 1 song on expert using the microphone! Other then that, he was mostly on the drums while Edmund, Karl and me took turns with the 2 guitars.

I was quite newb with the game so I just kept playing the guitar on easy (3 notes), which is totally no kick. I can't move up to 4 notes, because then my hand coordination will screw up and cause the band to lose. Haha...

Our "agreement" was to leave at 12pm, but Nigel got so addicted to the game that he didn't want to leave. He just kept sniffing his "nose clearing" device and hitting the drums... -_-

So nevermind, we decide to watch a "horror movie" while leaving him and Samuel in the room to play. The movie is really quite crap... will talk about it later...

In the end, we were all just like waiting for each other to go home until around 2am I think...

Concussed upon home... slept until mid noon...

NTU Y1S1, Week 11 In Review

Random Quotes Of The Week:

"OBSERVE!"
- Dr Shi (Most used phrase in lecture)

"I don't care!"
- Dr Shi
(Last lecture, in response to students, "I don't understand")

"And from the 10 x 10 matrix, you can get the 9 x 9! From 9 x 9, you can get 8 x 8! After that, you can get 7 x 7! And then... "
- Dr Qian
(Getting the determinant of a matrix)

"And what is the meaning of a determinant? That is a very interesting question."
- Dr Qian (Lecture on Determinant)

"I don't know why you are laughing. Maybe later you can email me and tell me why."
- Dr Leung (Response to class laughter)

In The Class:

Computer Systems
E - Learning week... for this module. So happy, cause this module is usually always the last lecture of the day. That means I get to go home earlier!

Logic Design (End Of Lecture)
Sian... Dr Chan went on leave, and I feel that her teaching methods is still the best (for me). I don't really like the replacement tutor methods.

He tends to flash out the solutions right away at the start. Then, when everyone is busy copying, he will start his explanation. Everyone is busy drawing, writing down the notes, and no one is really paying attention to him. By the time you finish writing down the answers, he would have finished explaining everything. -_-

Dr Chan is different. She will actually analyze the question, then do the question step by step from the start to the end together with you. It makes you feel like you're actually attempting the question yourself with her assistance. The good thing about this is that you actually knows what you are copying, and why this and why that. More importantly, You don't need to go back and re-read what you've blindly copied.

Hopefully she'll be back by next week, haha.

Data Structures Programming
Well, this module is sure getting much more appealing now. The tutorials and the lectures, but sometimes I wish he could cut down on the REPETITIVELY explainations.

Repeating 1 or 2 times is fine, but to repeat the same thing OVER AND OVER is really... -_-

Discrete Maths
And we had our last lesson on Discrete Maths.

...

And what is left over is a pile of mess.

A horribly difficult Assignment 2.

...

See you 2 weeks later, Dr Shi.

Foundation Maths
What is the meaning of determinant?

How has the importance of determinant change over the past centuries?

Why is determinant more important than the Matrix itself?

How do we find some cross and dot products?

These are some of the things we have learnt this week on Linear Algebra.

...

And how does all these help in your tutorial?

How does all these help in your exams?

How does understanding the history of Matrix and the hidden meaning of Determinant helps in passing the module?

...

...

Nothing.

...

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

S.H.E 11th Album Review!

Finally get the chance to add the 11th Album to my collection...

As for this new album... well... I think I might as well just post a screen-shot of my player. Sums up everything.

It certainly isn't their worst album, but it's far from being the best. There isn't really any "groundbreaking" songs (meaning those that I really really like a lot) here. Instead, they try to make it up with more quantity (12 compared to the usual 10).

Then, even after 1 month, most of the songs still fail to sound appealing to me. Luckily, there isn't any "super jia-lat" song this time, which is usually the case.

A lot of the potential good songs got kind of ruined for some weird reasons...

店小二
I really like the chorus lyrics of this song, especially this part. "借酒消愁又如何, 三杯下肚就忘了, 等清醒后又记得, 何必呢".

Alas! I find the verse of this song quite crap. No melody, some weirdly placed tunes. (Especially this part, "一杯又一杯 你再喝"), some weird lyrics ("等到立地成佛", Simi sai? Is this a joke?)

Overall, it just brings the whole song down. The verse feels totally disconnected from the chorus.

沿海公路的出口
What is "倘若说放一次手 就像咳一个嗽"? What's the link? Why must it be "就像咳一个嗽"?
Nearly everything would have been much better.

"倘若说放一次手" is such a good start, but I don't know why they want to add "就像咳一个嗽" behind... It sounds really weird to me. Anyway, still a very nice song.

女孩当自强
This is actually a pretty cool song! Oriental Flavour (中国风), Huang Fei Hong, perfect combination. I really like the style of the chorus.

But you know what? They have to ruin it by advertising some product known as "Top Girl" inside this song. What the hell?!Why Why Why Why Why!

Why must there be some "Top Girl" line in this song? It is totally out of place in this song, and there is no meaning in it. They should just KEEP everything in Mandarin.

NTU Y1S1, Week 10 In Review

Random Quotes Of The Week:

"Can I have silence please?"
- Dr Amitabha (Most used phrase)

"All qualified strings will still be qualified. All unqualified strings will still be unqualified. So, is it n-1?"
- Dr Shi
(Every lecture on recursion)

In The Class:
This week, I saw the incompetence of many... And I am finally enlightened on this dark and ugly system...

... Anyway...

We're nearing the end of some subjects already...

Can't wait for the "E-Learning Week"...

Computer Systems
Got back the results for the first test... Hmm... there was a lot of controversies surrounding the test though. Different markers, no fixed marking scheme, 2 same answers can received different marks...

Dot dot dot... nothing to say. When is the last topic coming?

Logic Design
We seen to have develop a "keen interest" for Logic Design... almost every break are spent at the Logic Lab. Sometimes, I don't even know what we're doing. Just messing around I guess. Finally complete the report which took up so much of my time...

Data Structures Programming
Trees! Trees! Trees! It's good to learn something new...

But sometimes, there is really no need to repeat the obvious. It's OK if you emphasis it once or twice, but to repeat it over and over and over... -_-

And of course, Lab Test No.2.

Much better.

Much much better.

That is all I have to say.

Discrete Maths
Finally, we're at the last topic - Recursion.

Can still recall during the first few lectures, when Dr Shi said the last topic is going to be the hardest of them all.

And it truly lives up to its name.

Whether it's finding how many valid words are there in a lost language or how many consecutive male babies you can conceive, the questions never failed to surprise me.

I thought I've gotten the correct answer, but there is almost some kind of "secret" condition that can pop up. Up till this point of time, I still haven't manage to complete a single recursion question correctly on my own.

Foundation Maths
Differentiation is over.

Here comes integration.

Before I even catch anything, we're already at the summary page.

...

What the... ?!

And Monday is the tutorial.

...

What you expect me to do? Integrate?

I think before I can integrate all the questions,

I might have disintegrated myself.

The Wave Keyboard!

"Hao Lian" post... LOL.

Anyway, recently find that my former keyboard has become too "cui" (koyak) to continue using... I think it's been following me for like 5 years or so; the most basic logitech keyboard (those that you can get for $9.90 or so)

One of the "legs' has gone missing (meaning it's like leaning on one side, and I can't tilt it), and it really hinders typing. What else, the printing on almost every single key has faded (although it doesn't really affects me)

So, I decided to go shopping for a new one!

At first, I wanted to go for something like the Razer Tarantula and stuff, but ultimately I feel that I'm not a professional gamer, and more importantly I don't play FPS; so I don't really need something like that.

Decided to go for something more "ergonomic" and a brand I can trust. And what other better brand can there be for keyboards?

And...

...

TADAH!

Introducing my brand new keyboard...

The "Logitech Wave"!

Claimed by Logitech to be "3 years in the making", it received extremely good reviews on many tech sites.

Been using it for the past few days, and I find it extremely comfortable to type on. Really love its design, the palm rest and the whole "feel" of the material. Most importantly, this is the first time that I'm using a programmable keyboard, and it's one of the best feature of this keyboard.

There are lot of additional keys which can be programmed (using their software) to practically do everything faster.

You can open any program, any webpage, any folders/files on your computer with a single key. Or you can assign it to do stuffs like stand by the computer, flip between programs, etc... You can even assign a key to launch your own custom made-menu.

Bottom line - I'm loving the wave!

How To Prove Your Love For Someone... Discretely.

Sequel To The Original

If you are a set, then let my love for you be a function that maps all of my elements to all of yours. Let the cardinality of our love grows to infinity.

If my love for you can be represented with a function, then let that function be one to one and onto. And then, let the inverse function represents your love for me. Still one to one, still onto.

If you are a pigeonhole, let me be the only pigeon that resides in it, regardless of how many pigeons there are.

If you are a vertex, let me be the edge that lies incident to you. Let me be your only edge, and your only degree.

If you are a graph, let me be your Euler Circuit. Let me transverse every edges of yours.

If our love can be represented with a graph, let there be no cut vertex or edges in it that graph.

Please do not doubt my love for you, for this love is an axiom.

I can prove my love for you directly, and I can prove the same by contradiction.

Please don't try to find a counterexample, for such an example would be impossible.

Prove: My love for you exists for all time in the domain of eternity.

1. By Contradiction:

Suppose the above is false. Then, there must exist a time in eternity where I don't love you.

If such a time actually exists, then I cannot exists; For by definition, I exists due to my love for you (you are the reason for my existence).

If I exists, then my love for you must exists. Taking the contrapositive, it meant that if my love for you does not exists, then I cannot exists as well.

This by itself, is a contradiction to original supposition.

Therefore, I have prove that my love for you will be true till eternity.

Q.E.D.

2. By Induction:

Let all time be represented by the value K, where K is anytime in the span of eternity.

In the beginnings of time (when "time is 1"), my love for you exists. Assume that my love for you exists at a time K, I can always prove that my love for you exists at the time of K + 1.

We can now conclude that my love for you will be true till eternity.

In The Class:

Computer Systems
Algorithms... Database... nothing much going on...

Logic Design
The tutorials are getting really really tough... Labs also.

Everything. Everything.

Data Structures Programming
Finally! Something new, something useful!

It's Trees!

We all love climbing trees.

Kids love climbing trees, monkeys love climbing trees.

Even Maths teachers love climbing trees.

Yep.

They climb "TrigonomeTrees".

Discrete Maths
This subject never fails to surprise me...

The "Ps and Qs", which I initially thought was the most difficult concept ever, is now actually the easiest portion of this subject.

If Maths is "80% practice and 20%" IQ, then Discrete Maths is "20% practice and 80% IQ".

Seriously, just look the Pigeonhole Principle... the concept can be understood by any 5 year old kid, but to actually apply it (to really challenging problems) require a genius-mind.

That tutorial nearly drove me nuts. No ordinary man could have possibly seen through how to classify the pigeons and pigeonholes.

Foundation Maths
A mathematician went insane and believed that he was the differentiation operator. His friends had him placed in a mental hospital until he got better. All day he would go around frightening the other patients by staring at them and saying "I differentiate you!"

The guy gets on a bus and starts threatening everybody: "I'll integrate you! I'll differentiate you!!!" So everybody gets scared and runs away.

One day he met a new patient; and true to form he stared at him and said "I differentiate you!", but for once, his victim's expression didn't change. Surprised, the mathematician marshalled his energies, stared fiercely at the new patient and said loudly "I differentiate you!", but still the other man had no reaction.

Finally, in frustration, the mathematician screamed out "I DIFFERENTIATE YOU!" -- at which point the new patient calmly looked up and said, "You can differentiate me all you like: I'm e to the x."
