I've taken 4 IPPT so far, excluding the BMT tries...
The first time I took, I passed everything with flying colours but fall short of 3 seconds in the 2.4km run.
The second time I tried, I manage to "just pass", hitting 12 min 20 seconds exact.
The third time was the lamest and most shocking of all. I passed all the stations, but "miraculously" manage to fail by hitting 14 points.
Sometimes, I wonder why my IPPT attempts are always so... "exciting". I always fail by a tiny bit or pass by a tiny bit. My results are so close to the point that failing and passing is just separated by a thread...
Thus, taking IPPT always give me a lot of stress. It's like taking an examination where you know you'll be getting either 49 marks or 50 marks. It always take a toil on my body...

Joyless Lands - A magnificent and vast piece of land to the west, filled with dense forests and thick fog. The whole land reeks a foul stench of dead corpses. Countless innocent lives were lost over the century on this land that no one remembers the actual name of this place anymore. It is now only known as the "Joyless Ghost Lands", where the spirits of the dead roam about. The spirits who died from injustice, suffering and forever unable to reincarnate. This place will forever be hell on earth... This land is heavily under attack by the dark forces all year round as it links directly to the capital...
Savage Waters - Named for its harsh and ferocious waves during the tide change, this place is the easiest to defend out of the 3 routes due to it strategic location in the far north. The cold winter meant that the dark force will have trouble maneuvering around, and thus harder to penetrate. It seems the dark army realize this as well, and launch comparatively less attacks here.
However, during certain seasons of the year, a gigantic beast will be unleash upon this cold land. This powerful and deadly creature is known as the "Chilling Serpent". When he emerges from the freezing deep, all will cower in fear. Warriors that let their guard down, even for a moment, will face the worst possible consequence. Death before even realizing what happened.
Records shows that the Chill Serpent migrate to the north during winter, and move south during summer... to the place called...
Evil Mortuary Road - Known as the 黄泉之路 by the locals chinese, this was a well-hidden and concealed road located near the Joyless Lands. Unfortunately, it is uncovered by the dark forces shortly after the war...
Like its name suggest, this place is a total nightmare. During certain nights, you will hear piercing screams and cries that will make your heart bleed. Don't ever step in here. The evil will consume you...
And if you thought that is the all, you're wrong...
Nearly 150 years after the start of the war... scouts report some unusual sightings...
A small group of demon scouts appeared out of nowhere, and in a village next to the capital city of Cranberry.

Necromancers Berths - 2 Jetties constructed secretly in the eastern and western side of the Capital City. There, the high ranking necromancers gather and conjure up hundreds of evil spirits and demons... Due to scarce information, little is known about this place...
When will they launch a full scale attack by sea?
Nobody knows. But time is running out...
Can the Kingdom defend itself against the Dark forces? Or will country's internal strife and revolution bring its own doom?
If the knights do not unite as one, they may very well destroy themselves before the great apocalypse...

I passed, yet I failed?!
What da hell...
This is one of the lamest crap ever...
So I went to take IPPT on thursday...
Scored 3 points for SBJ, 2 points for pull up, 3 points for Shuttle Run, 4 points for Sit up, 2 points for 2.4km...
Was overjoyed when I passed all the stations!
Finally, I've cleared my 2nd window! Don't have to worry about all these anymore!
...
And then, the person in charge told me I didn't pass...
What the hell!

My personal compilation of the best Mandarin Songs I've listened to.
Note that this list is just my own perception of my favorite songs. It has nothing to do with popularity, meaning if I come across this super "ulu" song that's extremely nice, it'll also be listed And of course, if I haven't heard a particular song before it wouldn't be up here. So the more well known a song is, the more likely that I'll know it...
All songs listed are not in any particular order.
Honorable Mentions are really great songs that are left out of the top 10 spot. It's almost as good as the Top 10's and probably can replace them (some of them).
Best Line is a new addition, which basically meant my favourite line/part from the song, based both on the lyric and the tune.

Wordpress
Been messing around with Wordpress lately, both the open source software and the hosting site. It seems really awesome with that whole load of advantages over Blogger...
Some of the ones that really caught my attention is the ability to have single pages, more advanced categorizations (parent, nested categories & tags), ability to privatize a post and ease of backup.
Unfortunately, I later discover that it's also missing some really basic functionalities, like mass edit & CSS edit. I won't consider moving over until they fixed all of that.
But the Opensource version is really superb. With all that plugins you can do almost anything you want, but for now I can only host it using my own computer as the server. I won't fork out money for a webhost... so I think the best I can use it is as a private diary.

IT Show 2008
Back from the IT Show...
Well, technically speaking, I haven't been inside the IT Show. It was way too chaotic and it was an ocean of human flesh. I turned back when I reach there. Haha...
In short, I gave it a miss. It wasn't a good idea to go at the last minute. Usually for these kind of shows I'll go on the first or second day (on a weekday), but this time round, my schedule was way too hectic. It was totally crammed up till the last day.
I had quite a number of items I wanted, or is considering to get, but decided not to in the end...
Let's see...
1. Digital Camera
I've mentioned before I wanted to get one, but didn't do much about it for nearly 1/2 a year except online research. My first opportunity came at Sitex, but findings show that the deals at the show sucks. Later on, I decided to get one just before CNY for the occassion... but, well, you know what happened to "my CNY". This is my 3rd chance, and some of the promotions really give great bang for bucks.
Thinking about it, however, I wouldn't have much chance to use it right now. The schedule is becoming more intense than ever, and there just isn't any special occassion in the upcoming months. If I buy one right now, It'll probably be kept aside to rot for quite awhile. In the end, I decided to postpone the purchase once again. Maybe in just about 100 more days...
Also haven't really decide on just how good I want it to be. I wanted to get a budget one, but some say I might just as well get a camera phone... geez. I don't know. I don't see how spending $500+ on a compact digicam is justified. I don't think I want to change my phone anytime soon.
2. Gaming Grade Keyboard
This is sort of a impulse thing - I've got a gaming mice, so why not get a good keyboard? The letters on mine are peeling off. It's no problem for me, but my brother is having difficulty typing. Haha. Been looking at Razer Tarantula, Lycosa... Reclusa had a good deal at the IT show, but I didn't manage to get in... so I guess I'll give it a pass for now. I also don't think I'll be making much use of it...
3. Portable Media Player
IPod or Zen? I've been thinking about it for quite a while... but it seems like the price just won't drop. I really can't afford to fork out near $500 for a luxury item like this at this moment. I got more important things to save for...
The mixed reviews are also turning me off. Some say Zen is really crappy, spoil easily, etc... Others said IPod is very troublesome as it supports limited format, etc... I really don't know. Why can't there be a perfect one?
4. Earphones (IEM)
I wanted to buy the Shure the moment I saw it on promotion in the IT Show preview. Later on though, I find out that for the same price, I could get a better quality one elsewhere. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to locate the store when I was there. Geez... only have myself to blame for not writing down the exact address. It is acknowledged and prized as the "Singapore Audiophile Heaven" by those HWZers, a little store known as Jaben.
My Creative EP630 have served me well... for the duration of its life. Last week, the right side died on me suddenly, and now I'm in such agony. I could not go back to using those "normal earphones" anymore. I need a IEM that surpass the EP630. I have to get one quick.

Bottom line, I didn't buy anything. Should I reward myself for making rational decisions and saving so much money?

An Evil Force has escaped...
An evil force, sealed underground in the deep abyss known as the "Dungeon"...
We all thought it was over. But now, the worst thing imaginable has happened.
The great evil finally broke the magical chains devised by the ancient wizards. By the time the guards knew of his escape, it was already too late. He has completely vanished.
But this is not the end. He will recuperate and bid his time. And when he completely regain his powers, the catastrophic destruction he will create will be beyond imagination.
News and panic spread like wildfire...
Within days, heroes from all over the lands have gathered at the God Tower. Their mission - to locate and subdue the Great Evil once more.
This time, they will lock him away - for eternity.
But...
