S.H.E 10th Album Preview!

Title: Play

It's their 10th Album!

They're attempting a completely new style this time, combining traditional "tongue twisters" with "rap". Sounds extremely interesting to me! It could become a unique style of song by them.

A sneak preview shows the song contain the following verses...

哥哥說 寬寬的河
弟弟說 白白的鵝
鵝要過河 河要渡鵝
不知是鵝過河 還是河渡鵝

And there's a portion somewhere that goes like this....

板凳宽,扁担长,
板凳比扁担宽,
扁担比板凳长,
扁担要绑在板凳上
板凳不让扁担绑在板凳上,
扁担偏要板凳让扁担绑在板凳上。

It basically talks about how a long pole wants to be tied onto a wide stool... -_____-

Looking at the lyrics alone, I can say its difficulty will definitely to comparable (if not even more, depending on length and speed) to Jay's Craziest Rap Songs like 四面楚歌, 半兽人, 红模仿, 忍者... or whatever you think his most intensive rap song is.

According to S.H.E, "The tongue-twister is really torturous; we practiced until our tongue almost tied itself! But now we are formidable! We welcome any challengers!"

Hahaha...Really can't wait for the new album! May come quick~

And Happy Birthday To Hebe! (30th March)

A Person Who Holds Grudges?

I didn't thought of myself as such a person until recently. That day I was doing this "personality test" and I belong to this category of people, and one of the main traits of this kind of people is that they'll hold grudges. All the other characteristics were quite true, but I don't agree a lot with this one.

But maybe I'm wrong. Guess I don't understand myself that well after all... or perhaps in the past, no one ever offended me so much until I have to hold a grudge against that person? Heh...

It was until some time ago that I realized I am like this... wouldn't say it's a bad point or what... think it's just a way to protect yourself.

There's this saying call "有恩必还,有仇必报". But I don't think I will be so extreme until I want to take revenge or whatever crap... but I will never forget it if that person deal enough pain to me. On the other hand, I will definitely remember and return someone kindness.

Sometimes, it's sad when you are accused of something you didn't do. If I do something wrong, then I will definitely admit my mistake. But it feels so bad when you are doubt of your character.

Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu - The Finale

Lame...Lame...Lame...

LOL, OK Lah, but it's somewhat disappointing when something that you've waited for over 15 episodes didn't happen. Haha.

The ending is not really your typical "happy ending"...

Felt there were too many unresolved (or rather, events that are just "neglected") things in the show.

The photographer existence is so freaking lame. He seems like a bad guy at the beginning and he's like "just appeared" to progress the story. They never even elaborate on his purpose and motive. What is his relationship with the School Doctor? What's up with his ex wife? What happen to them in the end? The doctor still remain as the most mysterious character.

What about Xiu Yi and Juliet? How they got to know each other and fall in love? Also the part where Quan "tricked" the whole group into believing some lame excuse of surgery is really really really terrible. Freaking fake. Horrible idea.

The last portion where they are about to confess to each other is really quite "gan chiong" though. Haha. And I love the joke about "Transforming 10 dollars into 70 dollars".

They ended the drama with "Our story has just began...", perhaps for the possibility of Hana Kimi 2?

Panadol The Dangerous Killer!

Taken from SHEA Forum:

DON'T TAKE PANADOL AND PANADOL ACTI FAST AND PANADOL SOLUBLE especially if you have gastric problems I... One real story from a friend....

My husband was working in a hospital as an IT engineer, as the hospital is planning to set up a database of its patient. And he knows some of the doctors quite well.

The doctors used to tell him that whenever they have a headache, they are not willing to take PANADOL (PARACETMOL). In fact, they will turn to Chinese Herbal Medicine or find other alternatives.

This is because Panadol is toxic to the body, and it harms the liver. According to the doctor, Panadol will reside in the body for at least 5 years. And according to the doctor, there used to be an incident where an air stewardess consumed a lot of Panadol during her menstrual as she needs to stand all the time. She's now in her early 30's, and she needs to wash her kidney (DIALYSIS) every month.

As said by the doctor that whenever we have a headache, that's because it is due to the electron/Ion imbalance in the brain. As an alternative solution to cope with this matter, they suggested that we buy 1 or 2 cans of isotonic drink (eg.100PLUS), and mix it with drinking water according to a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (simply, it means one cup 100plus, one cup water or 2 cups water).

I and my husband have tried this on several occasions, and it seems to work well.

Another method will be to submerge your feet in a basin of warm water so that it brings the blood pressure down from your throbbing head. As Panadol is a pain killer, the more Panadol you take, the lesser would be your threshold for pain (your endurance level for pain).

We all will fall ill as we aged, for woman, we would need to go through childbirth. Imagine that we had spent our entire life popping quite a substantial amount of Panadol (Pain Killer) when you need to have a surgery or operation, you will need a much more amount of general anesthetic to numb your surgical pain than the average person who seldom or rarely takes Panadol. If you have a very high intake of Panadol throughout your life (Migraine, Menstrual cramps) it is very likely that normal general anesthetic will have no effects on you as your body is pumped full with panadol and your body is so used to pain killer that you would need a much stronger pain killer, Morphine?

Value your life, THINK b4 you easily pop that familiar pill into your mouth again. Please send this to people you care about.

IT Show 2007...

Feel that I'm spending a lot more money nowadays compared to 1 year ago...

Last time, I have to think a long long time to buy anything above $100. (And very rarely do I buy something above that price) Now, not say that I've become a spendthrift or what, but I'm more willing to spend money to buy things I like.

I guess I've come to realized that happiness is more important than money. Haha. As long as I spend within my means and don't go overboard, then it's completely fine to reward myself.

"Money is important, but freedom ranks higher"

Anyway, the above is all just my self-justification for hooting the Creative Extreme Music at the IT Show. Haha. But I never regretted after using it. It's really amazing. To Quote:

"The idea of Creative claiming it could rebuild compressed audio not only back to the original CD quality, but better than that and up to the original recorded quality sounds like the biggest load of PR marketing BS we've ever heard. The thing is, Creative wasn't lying... ... ... ... , sounds absolutely phenomenal".

Totally agree. You have to hear it to believe it. I thought the Audigy 2 I brought was an huge improvement over on-board audio, but X-Fi totally thrash the Audigy 2. Hi-Fi is dead, Long Live X-Fi!

Anyway, I also kope 50 DVD-R (Amazing price) at the show. There's also the Playstation 3 launch at the show (Going for $799), amazing graphics. Then go walk walk around the HD TV section. Geez... Think it'll be another 10 years before I can afford it, haha. Then of course there's the Microsoft, who occupied an entire floor of the exhibition center to promote their Window Vista... Hmm, not interested in it that crap at the moment.

3 Days of Torture...

God...I'm surprised I'm still alive. 1st March 2007, marks the first time I ever "Attend C" in my entire NS life, and the first time I reported sick since leaving Tekong.

I wouldn't have done so if it wasn't so serious. Woke up with a fever and this killing pain in my throat. Went to the polyclinic... in the end, the doctor actually told me it's "nothing serious", and sent me off with 2 packets of panadols, and 1 lozenges to suck (actually told me it's sore throat)... And of course 1 day MC...

That night, my head was burning and my throat is killing me. Swallowing saliva alone is freaking pain, and it affected my ear as well. I couldn't eat anything even though I was feeling hungry. Even drinking water is a tormenting... There's one point that I even keep a bowl beside my bed so I can "pui" all the saliva there in order to avoid swallowing it.

Midnight time, really cannot stand it... can't sleep, and finally went to see a 24 hour clinic. The price is unparalleled, yet another day MC. (Yeah, I reported sick twice in a row as a result I think.)

2nd March, Friday. Whole day lie in bed, keep eating the medicine. Barely eat anything the whole day. Then Charleston keep "pestering" me to exchange duty with him tomorrow. I told him "Now I kanna blow by the wind I am shivering like mad. If I stay in that air con room whole day, I will die". I think they will find a corpse the next day.

3rd March, Saturday. Still haven't recover. Don't know WTF. The fever still comes back, my throat condition improves a little... geez. Don't know what to say. The medicine too "Laoya" or my illness very serious? Don't even remember the last time I was sick for so long.

Haiz...hopefully I will completely recover by Monday. Already stay in the bed for 3 full days. Whole body sore. Sleep until I got headache. I look back at the medicine I've taken so far and I'm so shocked. I took at least 20 tablets of fever control medicine over the 3 days... scares me just thinking about it.

By the way, do you know...

- If you're have cough (flu), you shouldn't eat cold base fruits like watermelon, grapes...
- If you have flam, you shouldn't eat bananas and oranges, which causes it...
- When in doubt, eat apples. (The safest fruit)
- Adding salt to coke is a good way to sooth your cough
- The sour plum drink is a very good throat-soothing drink.
- (By My Mum) If you add sour plum to coke, it's even more effective.

One more thing... I feel that a lot of doctors today lack the ethics of being doctors... The feeling I get is "Just give me your money and **** off". Please loh... If you don't even have some passion about saving life, don't be a doctor. Don't be a doctor just for the sake of money.
