Suikoden V Completion!

Alright, I've offically completed my 80 hours long Suikoden V game...and it's been one hell of a ride. Let's say I am not too satisfied with the ending. It's a great game, but the villian failed to match up against Luca Blight...

Anyway it's really a game of laughter and tears...there are actually some parts that was extremely moving. (Like death of Roy, attack on Sun Palace. Almost feel like crying the first time I watch it)

The early parts of the story gives you a feel of the World setting, and gets you really attached to the characters. You can almost feel for them. Everyone in the Royal Family. The story starts to pick up with the attack on Sun Palace, and then it just goes up and up and up and up!

Top 3 Moving moments

1) Attack on Sun Palace - Coolest cutscene ever. Chills me the first time I watch it. I've so glad I managed to find a video download of it!

2) Roy dies by impersonating the Prince - Almost cried the first time I saw that scene...

3) The Duel with Miakis - Miakis was soo...vulnerable and beautiful...When she finally collapsed and cried in the prince's arms...apologizing that she couldn't protect the princess...That really got to me.

Top 3 Hilarious Moments

1) Sialeeds tried explaining to Lyon what would happen to Marina if Belcoot wins...she gave up in the end with a sigh...that was part was classic.

2) Rahal dressing up as a girl to distract the guards...totally didn't saw that coming. Roog later says he's "dangerously attractive" I think...

3) Sialeeds, Dinn and Lyon acting as "vulnerable citizens" and Sable, and of course the Euram Barows hilarious entrance! Haha.

Woo...this is it! I've completed the 5th game in the Suikoden Series.

Time for serious business now!

Suiko V = Why Sialeeds...Why?

I am now nearing the end of Suikoden V. Sialeeds is dead. But what's the reason for her betrayal? I visited the gamefaqs forum where there's over a 100+ posts about this issue.

Some said it was a "plot hole", other think it's "bad writing", others have their own ways of justification. What were the writers thinking? Personally, I don't understand Sialeeds betrayal as well. She was the closest character to the Prince, why betrayed him at the last and most crucial moment?

Was it to bear all the bad name and be branded as a traitor forever, just to let the next generation of the queendom start anew? Or was it to bear the Twlight Rune? I know it couldn't be some lame reasons like "Love for Gizel".

Some of the most logical reasons I believe were " exceution of Barows would cause backlash, but leaving them alone leaves unresolved issues that can crop up again in the future", Perhaps there were other way that could be done, but if you stand in the point of view of Sialeeds, she was probably doing what she think is the best for Lym and the Prince.

Well well...I think I'm nearing the final showdown...Later.

University Admission - NTU Tea Session...

Ahhhh~Headache! Just went to NTU Tea Session and now I'm inclined towards NTU again...this thing is really giving me a huge headache.

I'm facing the 2nd most important decision of my life now O_O...The first was "Where to go after the 'O' levels". Although the previous one was much more important...this one is MUCH harder to decide...

At least in the previous one, there were major differences between each choices (JC and Poly, Which Poly, and Which Poly of each course). Everything was very clear cut. JC you study what and what, Poly you study what.

Now this one...everything is freaking similar. (Ironic isn't it...You would think the more different the different choices were, the harder it is to choose. But this is exactly the opposite)

NTU did a really good job today I think. (Convincing me at least) The speeches they gave were OK, some were quite helpful, others are just the "typical" type...The video's ok...The most useful portion was actually the "talk with the professors and graduate" after the presentation thing. Really learnt much more about the Computer Science course. Heard that there's 1 Math Problem, which is the most problematic one (I don't like maths...). There's 2 hardware modules and the rest are software. Sounds reasonable to me.

Now...NUS one...

More Suikoden 5 Rants - Queen Arshtat Ownz!

Wooo! I fast approaching 70 hours gameplay on Suikoden 5...man! The storyline rocks. Konami really brought back the series I've known. The series went downhill in 3, and rock bottom in 4, and I'm glad to see it's back to its formal glory.

There are some scenes that are particularly memorable in the game...especially when they revealed the truth behind the attack on the Sun Palace! Queen Arshtat was soooo cool! (Reminds me of "Yao Yue" and "Moon Monarch) I loved that cutscene!

"I shall bring LordLakes fate.......To The Entire COUNTRY!"

And the maddness of the Sun Rune unleashed. And of course the touching music and events that came after that...

I loved that Scene so much I've created a save point and decided not to overwrite it! Haha!

Till then guys! Now go before I "deposit your loathesome corpse into the rivers of Feitas."

Suikoden V is here!

That day blog until halfway. Haha. Anyway, went to Matthew house after the Chalet and settle some computer issues with him. Although I'm not very proficient, I can at least gave him some advice on his computer...(Super low RAM...)

Anyway, borrowed some games from him and finally got Suikoden V - My favourite RPG series of all time. So you probably guessed what I've been doing these few days. Spamming the game. Spam and Spam. I'm almost at the 30 hours gameplay now...haha.

Haven't complete it (Probably halfway I think), so can't give my opinion yet. But so far it's definitely better then S3 and S4. But can it top Suikoden 2? (My top 5 Favourite RPG) Well...we shall see how the storyline goes...Before I leave,

Let our mercy, as deep as the Feitas, and our authority, as powerful as the Sun, be revealed to the entire world! (Pledge of Falena Queendom)
